Q: What happens if a user's credit runs out in the middle of the night?
A: Our meters include a "Friendly Hour" feature (covering specific times like nights, weekends, or holidays), during which the power will not be disconnected even if the credit is exhausted. Additionally, users can be authorized to activate Emergency Credit by entering a specific command (e.g., "000" + Enter) on the keypad.

A: The meter is designed for a service life of up to 15 years. It is equipped with an external 1200mAh lithium battery used to maintain the clock and detect tampering during power failures. This battery can be replaced by the user or technician without opening the main meter cover.

Q: Does the installation of Sheng Yeong meters require a specific environment?
A: Our meters carry an IP54 or IP55 protection rating, making them suitable for outdoor or standard meter box installations. We recommend installing the meter 1.3 to 1.5 meters above the floor in a location away from water sources and direct heat.

Q: What should I do if the meter screen displays an error code?
A: The meter has a self-diagnosis function. If an abnormality occurs, it will display a specific OBIS code or a short code (such as a flashing alarm icon). You can enter short codes (e.g., 092 for general status) via the keypad to view specific diagnostic results and contact a qualified technician for assistance.
